Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou - chateau The original medieval stronghold was rebuilt into a renaissance and later into the baroque chateau complex with the church of St. Margaret. It is surrounded by the park in the French style and continues as an English park on the riverside Rokytná. The castle is furnished with period furniture and precious collections of musical instruments, porcelain, paintings etc. You can choose among three visit tours. Tour A and B include all rooms inhabited by the nobility. Tour C is intended for visiting the Church of St. Margaret.

BUDIŠOV – chateau 14 km (20 min)
Baroque chateau was established thanks to rebuilding of water fortress. There is a depositary of the Moravian Museum which has been accessible from 1991. BREWERY IN DALEŠICE - DALEŠICKÝ PIVOVAR 19 km (24 min.)
Brewery in Dalešice was probably founded already at the end of 16th century and was running as industrial brewery in the time period 1882-1977. A famous Czech comedy movie “Postřižiny” was made here in 1980.
The beer from Dalešice is produced according traditional recipes. There are excursions organized during summer days – you will be able to see the brewing process and to taste the beer in the brewery restaurant.

NÁMĚŠŤ NAD OSLAVOU – chateau - 21 km (24 min)
Nowadays renaissance Chateau used to be medieval castle. The interior of the castle offers a unique display of tapestries, precious paintings or historical furniture, the castle chapel is remarkable for its architecture and baroque equipment, the library for its rich book stock and a barrel ceiling with the unique fresco decoration. NUCLEAR POWER STATION DUKOVANY - 24 km (30 min)
Professional guides, working in the Information Centre, provide visitors with an erudite explanation on the power station and nuclear power engineering. All visitors can acquaint themselves on the exhibited models with the reactor and the reactor unit, deposition of the spent nuclear fuel and other technical information. Open daily, Monday - Sunday 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., on the first Monday of every month - closed.

BABYLON – observation tower – 27 km (35 min)
Babylon - view-tower Babylon, the originally 40 m high view-tower close to the Kramolín village (25 km from Třebíč), was built in 1831 by the count Haugwitz. It was reduced by one floor because of a cannon shooting in 1866. MOHELNO - nature reserve - 31 km (35 min)
In this nature reserve you can find special animals and plants which are connected with serpentine rock. Serpetine contains high content of magnesium which results in really small kinds of plants. About 60 new kinds from fauna and flora world have been discovered here. There are two educational trails – spring trail 3,5 km and autumn trail 4 km.
TŘEŠŤ 34 km (40 min)
The village Třešť was established around 13th century. Factories for production of cloth, furniture and matches were developed in 19th century by mostly Jewish businessmen. Their descendants became victims of holocaust. You will find here both Christian (crèche, churches, castle) and Jewish (synagogue, cemetery) sight seeing´s.
JEMNICE - historical centre 39 km (54 min.)
Jemnice is both originally medieval royal town and the southernmost town in Třebíč district. There is a Romanesque church of St. James - the oldest building in Moravia. You can find here also mausoleum of family Pallavicini. The Jewish quarter in Jemnice used to have 31 houses, nowadays there are just 25 houses. The Jewish community of Jemnice belongs to the oldest communities in the Czech Republic - the first mention comes from 1336. NOVÉ MĚSTO NA MORAVĚ - 47 km (cca 1 hod)
Nové Město town is popular for winter sports – especially for cross country ski. It´s beautiful surrounding offers plenty of trails for cross country skiing.
CYCLING around Třebíč
Another possibility how to spend your free time is biking - especially in the valley of the river Jihlava and the Dalešice dam. Very good bike conditions with a low density of traffic are also on the west and north of Třebíč..
